## Search context

A UK manufacturing site was going through structural and cultural change after an ownership transition. A new international General Manager and the group leadership team needed a hands-on HR leader to help stabilise the workforce in a unionised environment.

## The role

The brief covered industrial relations, union consultation, restructuring, organisational design, employee relations, compliance, people reporting, recruitment and leadership coaching. The HR Manager would be the main HR contact between the UK site, group leadership and private-equity stakeholders.

## Who we looked for

We looked for senior HR practitioners with manufacturing experience, strong UK employment-law knowledge and a record of leading union negotiations and workforce change. They needed the resilience and independence to make difficult decisions under pressure at site level.
